Dr. Arenas has been Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2009. She completed her specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Arenas obtained her medical and specialty degrees from the University of El Bosque in Bogota-Colombia before moving to Miami in 2001, and she speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr. Arenas continued her medical career by working with UM-school of Medicine as a Physician teaching in the Rehabilitation Program, where she was awarded teacher of the year in 2013 and 2016. After 7 years of a successful academic practice she decided to move into the world of private medicine where she could apply her expertise and build long term patient relationships.

Dr. Arenas is currently taking adult-outpatients and her main focus of treatments are patients with painful joints due to osteoarthrosis or other functionally limiting conditions, therapeutic injection procedures, electro diagnostic medicine, management of spasticity and neurologic disorders, impairments of the musculoskeletal (including sports and occupational aspects) system, treatment of lymphedema and cancer related conditions, prescription of braces and mobility aids, and prevention of falls and gait deficit evaluation.
