Dr. David J. Seiden is a nationally recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and his current clinical practice is limited to Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the medical staff at Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Hospital Pembroke. He also serves as Medical Director of the Baptist Sleep Center at Pembroke Pines.
After graduating from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Seiden trained in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, Neurology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center/Neurological Institute of New York and Sleep Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
Dr. Seiden is certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine as well as the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Sleep Research Society, Florida Society of Neurology, Florida Medical Association and Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators.
In addition to his patient care responsibilities, Dr. Seiden is the Medical Director and Vice President of QPS-MRA/Broward Research Group, a global clinical drug development organization. In this capacity, he has served a Principal Investigator and pharmaceutical consultant for numerous clinical research trials studying sleep disorders, evaluating new therapies for insomnia, sleep apnea, restless legs, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia, migraine headache as well as vaccine trials for neurologic infections including rabies, West Nile virus, Varicella Zoster and Meningococcal disease.
Dr. Seiden is widely published in the field of Sleep Medicine and has served as an expert witness in various medicolegal cases involving sleep disorders.
